When we are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, the last thing we think to do is proactively engage in positive self-talk or affirmations. While we cannot always control the thoughts that enter our mind, we can control what we do about them, including what we can say to ourself to prevent additional stress. Here are a few things you can tell yourself when you are feeling anxious. If you have felt this way before, then you know you will get through it again. Your anxiety is there to protect you, but you don’t have to let it control you.
